SSI team-building strategies are designed to develop individual self-awareness, as well as awareness among team members. In all of our team sessions, we help illuminate why people do what they do, how they perform at their best, what they need from others in order to reach their goals, and how stress affects their performance. Instead of shaping the person to fit the team, SSI begins the team-building process by validating the verified strengths and assets of the individuals. Then we choreograph team exercises to address the specific contributions of each team member. Team sessions can be offered in small modules or multi-day programs.
The SSI Team Development Process
The Team Player™ -Focus on the individual members of the team.
Individual feedback is provided to each of the team members about their strengths, the support they need to be successful, and ways to manage themselves to become more productive. They become grounded in the unique strengths and characteristics they bring to the team.
Team Dynamics™ - Focus on identifying and defining the team structure.
The Team Dynamics™ session is conducted to compare and contrast the different characteristics of the team members. We identify points of potential conflict and create strategies for managing personal and team behavior. The team leader receives specific follow-up steps that can be used to manage and motivate the team. Discussion examines what happens when the team players are brought together; identifies combined strengths and blind spots of the team; and looks at how to avoid conflict and use each team member’s strengths.
Team Focus™ - Focus on a strategy for tackling a major project or goal.
Once we understand the individuals and the team, then we focus on addressing specific business issues the team must handle or milestones the team must execute.
The Team Coach™ - Focus on the preparing the team leader.
SSI works with the managers of the team to help them understand how to bring out the best in each of their people. The manager, as Team Coach, will receive insight on each member of the team, as well as the overall group to sustain the improved team dynamics.
